Potential First Round Picks for Lions

2023 Detroit Lions Season Recap
The Lions rode the momentum of a great finish to 2022 to go 12-5 in 2023 to win the NFC North. The Lions then won a playoff game for the first time since 1991 by beating the Rams 24-23 in the Wild Card Round. They followed up that performance by beating the Bucs to advance to the NFC Championship game. The Lions blew a 17-point lead in the NFC Title Game vs the 49ers to fall short of reaching the Super Bowl.
Jared Goff was excellent throwing for 30 touchdowns to just 12 interceptions while sporting a rating of 97.7. In the backfield, David Montgomery went for 1,015 yards on the ground and rookie Jahmyr Gibbs was great with 945 yards and 10 TDs in his first season. Amon-Ra St. Brown was an All-Pro selection after catching 119 passes for 1,515 yards and 10 touchdowns. Rookie TE Sam LaPorta also caught 10 TD passes in his rookie season for an offense that was 3rd in yards and 5th in points in the league.
The defensive unit was in the middle of the league in yards and points as Aidan Hutchinson led the pass rush with 11.5 sacks. Linebacker Alex Anzalone led the team with 129 tackles while Kerby Joseph was solid in the secondary with 82 tackles and 4 interceptions. Rookie Brian Branch played in 15 games and picked off 3 passes while recording 74 tackles in a solid rookie campaign.
